Srinagar, June 27: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir Monday ordered deployment of employees of winded-up Department of Stationary & Office Supplies to other Government departments as per need.
A Government Order No.15-JK(ARI &Trgs) of 2022 dated 27.06.2022 reads, “Sanction is hereby accorded to the closure/winding-up of Jammu and Kashmir, Department of Stationary and Office Supplies, J&K with the following line of action”.
It said, the employees of the winded-up department shall be deployed to the Government Departments as per need and shall be governed by their existing rules and regulations till their retirement from service.
All fixed and movable assets of the winded-up Department at Jammu/Kashmir shall be utilized by other Government Departments depending upon their requirement, it reads.
The liabilities, if any, pending against the Department, shall be referred to ARI & Trainings Department for clearance out of Government Accounts after thorough verification, the order reads.
The official records shall be handed over to the ARI & Trainings Department for future correspondence and record.
Notably on June 09, 2022 the Government approved winding up the Stationery and Office Supplies Department. The decision was taken at the Administrative Council (AC) meeting under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha.
