Govt Boys HSS Bakshinagar celebrates Annual day

Jammu, Oct09: Government Boys Higher Secondary School Bakshinagaron Sunday released the first edition of School Magazine REFLECTION on its Annual Day Function held  at Teachers’ Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar.
A galaxy of dignitaries graced the occasion including Director Finance, Iftekar Hussain; Joint Director School Education, Subha Mehta; Joint Director Planning,   Parshotam Kumar Sharma; Deputy Director Planning,  Mamta Sharma; Chief Education Officer, Jammu Suraj Singh Rathore and Coordinator Teacher Bhawan D.S. Manhas.
The function started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Ganesh Vandana and  formal Welcome Note by  the School Principal, Dr. Ranjana Sharma.  A Variety of cultural items were presented by the students of Govt. Middle School Bakshi Nagar and Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar.
The achievers in academics and sports were honoured and appreciated with accolades and prizes by dignitaries present in the function. Bhargav Gupta, a student of Class 12th , Stream Science  was honoured for securing first position in 12th class, JK Board Examination Session 2021-22. The  other  position   as well as distinction holders of session 2020-21 and 2021-22 were also honoured and felicitated in the function. While speaking on the occasion, Director Finance  Iftikar Hussain stressed on the Value Oriented Education and advised the school authorities to equip infrastructure with latest facilities.
Ms Subah Mehta, Joint Director School Education appreciated School for outstanding results and  stressed upon the holistic development of  the students.
CEO Jammu,  Suraj Singh Rathore congratulated Principal, Staff and Students for organizing this event in an impressive way. The proceedings of the function were carried out by Sangeeta (Sr. Lect. Education), Harmeet Kour (Teacher), AakarshakSethi  and  Vinayak Gupta (both students of class 11th). The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks by  Meenu Bali (Sr. Lect. Maths).
