Fire breaks out at Jamia Masjid in Tral

Pulwama, May 10: A fire broke out on Wednesday at Jamia Masjid Noorul Islam Tral, causing significant damage to the top floor and roof of the building.

Chairman Madrasa Taleemul Islam Trust Tral (MTI), Nazir Ah told Rising Kashmir that the fire broke out around 8:15 am which engulfed two floors of the Jamia Masjid.
He said that the estimated damage caused by the fire is around 70 lac rupees.

"Fire and emergency service Department , Police officials and entire administration of Tral worked tirelessly to control the fire," he said

He said that support and cooperation from local administration is highly commendable as officials from police station Tral rushed to the spot upon receiving the news and joined hands with the Fire and Emergency personnel to bring the fire under control.
Meanwhile, Assistant Director F&ES Department Command Pulwama , Shopian Mueen-ul-Islam told Rising Kashmir that a fire broke out at 8:15 am and immediately they rushed to the spot to control the fire .

“ We sent an adequate number of our men and machinery , who successfully contained the fire and prevented the extent of damage”, Assistant Director said.

An official said that the cause of the fire is still unknown, and the authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
