Family's assistance helps in bringing back snatched rifle: ADGP

Srinagar, Dec. 31: Hours after a 25-year-old from the Below area of Pulwama snatched a rifle (an AK-47) from a central Police Force personnel, the Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday said that with the assistance of family they had brought back the snatched rifle.
The Jammu and Kashmir police said they appreciated the role of the family in helping them bring back the snatched rifle from the 24-year-old youth.
Taking microblogging site Twitter, Additional Director General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said, "With assistance of family, police brought back Irfan Bashir Ganie alias soba Ganie." aged about 25 years, S/O Bashir Ahmad, R/O below Pulwama, along with an AK-47 rifle, which he snatched from CRPF personnel this morning. investigation is going on. "We appreciate the role of family."
Earlier, the ADGP said, "There have been major changes in the mindset of the people in the region." They claim that house owners are denying shelter to the terrorists, and parents are not feeling proud of their children joining the terror ranks.
