Fake appointment: Edu Deptt to examine genuineness of 2009 appointed teachers

Srinagar, Jan 30: Days after the School Education Department (SED) terminated a teacher who managed entry into the department after producing a fake appointment order in 2009, the SED has started verification of all the appointments made in 2009 to ascertain the their genuineness.
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has asked all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) to scrutinise the 2009 appointment orders produced by the appointees.
The Chief Education Officer, Srinagar, has asked all DDOs to verify the genuineness of all 2009 and other appointees.
"As directed by the Director of School Education, Kashmir, all DDOs are hereby directed to verify the genuineness of all 2009 and other appointees by reference to original orders issued by the Directorate of School Education and the JKSSB selection list," according to an order issued in these connections.
According to the order, the documents must arrive at the CEO's office in Srinagar by February 4, accompanied by relevant confidential documents.
It is important to note here that the SED has terminated a school teacher who managed to enter the department after providing a fake order and was working in the department for 13 years. After the incident came to light, the CEO of Srinagar ordered a probe, which revealed the teacher had provided a fake appointment order.
