Ensure implementation of HADP projects at ground level: Dulloo

Jammu, March 16: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo on Thursday directed the concerned officers to take every step to ensure the preparation of the implementation of HADP projects at ground level. He directed ensuring the process of tendering, expression of interest (EoI), preparation of DPRs, etc where ever required on a priority basis.
He was chairing Project Grounding and Monitoring Committee meeting regarding the implementation of HADP projects here at the Civil Secretariat.
Director Extension, SKUAST-J, Dr. S K Gupta; Director, Horticulture Jammu, Ram Sevak; Director Fisheries, Mohammad Farooq; Director Agriculture, Jammu, K K Sharma; Director, Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Krishan Lal; MD Horticulture, Planning & Marketing, attended the meeting besides, Director Agriculture Kashmir, senior/Technical Officers of concerned departments also attended the meeting in person and virtually.
Threadbare discussions were held on various issues regarding 29 projects under HADP including the development of seed and seed multiplication, promotion of Niche crops and vegetables/exotic vegetables under protected cultivation, strengthening Agriculture Marketing in JK UT, promotion of Sericulture and millets & nutri-cereals, oil seeds, formulation of 300 FPOs, Innovation extension approaches for promotion of agriculture and high-density plantation and rejuvenate of orchards, etc.
The concerned officers of agriculture and allied departments briefed the meeting about the steps and work done for the implementation of HADP projects in Jammu and Kashmir. A powerpoint presentation was also given highlighting various components of the projects.
He directed the concerned to ensure procurement of rootstock material for high-density planting material, seeds, livestock, Agriculture Business Centre, etc. The ACS gave one week’s time to the concerned officers to include any required change in the project documents.
