Srinagar, Aug 11: A delegation of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) led by its president Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam Wednesday called on Chief Secretary AK Mehta here and presented a charter of demands.

The delegation raised several issues confronted by the employees of Jammu and Kashmir and projected issues concerning the employees.

A statement said, the issues faced by the employees were thoroughly elaborated before the CS.

“The Chief Secretary keenly listened to the issues raised and assured the delegation about their resolution,” it said.

Reassuring complete support to the CS in all his endeavours aimed at taking Jammu Kashmir to the pinnacle of success and development, the delegation lauded the administrative insight coupled with the pro-employee attitude of the administration.

The president thanked the CS for his keenness to work on the issues faced by the employees.  The delegation exuded optimism and hoped that under the administrative leadership of A. K Mehta, Jammu & Kashmir will scale new heights.

It also hoped that besides embarking on new developmental paths, the Chief Secretary will initiate measures for the redressal of some long-pending demands so that the employees heave a sigh of relief.

Dr Manzoor (Chairman SEECC), Mohammad Akbar Khan (President, Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Forum), Bashir Ahmad Thokar (Publicity Secretary, EJAC), Tariq Ahmad Sofi (Spokesperson, EJAC) and Showkat Ahmad Bhat (Senior Leader, EJAC) were also present.
