Drone attacks are serious technical threat: IGP

Srinagar, June 29: Following recent drone attacks at technical airport Jammu, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar Tuesday said that drone attacks are serious technical threats and police have spotted a drone near Dal Lake area after which they had registered FIR against the accused persons.
Addressing the presser at the Police Control Room, (PCR), the IGP said the joint meeting of Police, Army, CRPF was held to review the drone threat in the valley and termed it as a serious security challenge and a technical threat.
"We had reviewed the situation to thwart such attempts and have sounded alert across security installations in the valley. Deployment has been made at vital installations and at LoC," he said.
The IGP said that they will deal with the new threat technically. 
He also said that drone movement was spotted in Dal Lake area of Srinagar after which Police registered FIR against the accused.
On Sunday, two explosives-laden drones had crashed into the high-security Indian Air Force station at the Jammu airport.
