 Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma on behalf of Lieutenant Governor J&K Friday handed over a scooty (tricycle) to specially abled person namely Anurag Sharma S/o Suresh Kumar Sharma of village Degwar Haveli, district Poonch under J&K Relief Fund.
Deputy Director State Motor Garages, Syed Muarif Andrabi and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Div Com said the physically challenged persons are facing many problems while travelling from one place to another. He added that the scooty will help Anurag to reach school on time and also help him in other works of day to day life. The Div Com also urged to follow traffic rules for safe drive.
Anurag informed that he is 12th class student and he was facing lot of problems as he was dependent on others for his mobility to visit school or other places, but, now he is able to travel independently and it will also save time.
School found flouting DM order, sealed
Samba, March 20: In a clear violation of District Magistrate Samba order regarding compete closure of school in-wake of protection against Coronavirus outspread, SP Smart School, a private school, in Baribrahmana was found to be operation with 40-50 faculty members, students and other staff present and subsequently was sealed during an inspection by team of revenue and police officers.
The joint inspection team of SDM Vijaypur, C.P. Kotwal, Tehsildar Bari Brahmana, Qasier Malik, SHO Rajeev Jasrotia reached the school and found out that it was operational against the DM orders. The inspecting team cleared the congregation and advised them to remain in houses till further spread and sealed the school building.
The district administration has appealed to the general public to follow the guidelines of government strictly and protect themselves and society at large from the outbreak of covid-19.
