DIET Srinagar holds ‘Exhibition and Project Competition’ for Srinagar, Ganderbal

Srinagar, Nov 29: District Institute of Education and Training Srinagar held a District Level Exhibition and Project Competition for District Srinagar and Ganderbal under the Inspire Awards Manak Scheme 2021–2022. 92 candidates from leading schools of the valley, like DPS Athwajan, Oak Hill School of Education, Mallinson Girls School, Muslim Public School, Vision School of Education, Green Land School, Green Valley Educational Institute and our school Doon International School, Srinagar, participated. 
The jury included the Joint Director of SCERT, the Director of School Education, Dr.Tasaduq Hussain, the Principal of DIET, and the Coordinator of the Inspire Manak Awards Zone Ladakh. Many students from our school took part in the competition where Shah Abdul Shafi (grade 7) for his project – Deaf Glasses, Sheikh Kamil (grade 9) for – Change in the colour of the Packaging to indicate the expiry of the product, and SidratulMuntaha (grade 8) for her project - Safety device for patients suffering from Somnambulism, were selected in the Zonal Level. Out of the ten models which got selected for SLEPC, 3 models, each from GMS Nadirgund, BHSS Mujgund and our school, Doon International School, from zone Batmaloo, got selected. 
It is a very proud moment for the entire Doon International School, Srinagar, that Sidrat-ulMuntaha secured First Position in District Level Exhibition and Project Competition for District, Srinagar and Ganderbal, under the All India Level Inspire Programme of Science and Technology. 
The Chairman, Showkat Hussain Khan, appreciated the participants and citing their example, said that such achievements require hardwork, persistence and personal development. 
Quoting the words of Nowsheen Bashir, the Vice Principal, as she applauded the success of these achievers – ‘Belief in one's own abilities may lead to numerous triumphs great and little; it can inspire a struggling child to persevere or a bright student to tackle a new difficulty. We have immense talent in our Doon School, and these platforms are crucial for showcasing it.’ The entire DIS fraternity conveys their heartiest congratulations to our torch bearer for this astounding accomplishment.
