DHSK supervises Muharram processions in Budgam

 Budgam, Aug 09; Assistant Director Health Dr Kouser Amin and CMO Budgam Dr Tajamul Hussain Khan visited various places across Budgam to monitor and supervise the health facilities being provided to mourners during Muharram processions.

CMO Budgam earlier apprised the Assistant Director about action plan.
Dr Tajamul while elaborating the action plan said that department has devised proper plan to ensure all religious gatherings and processions are held smoothly.
He said that medical teams along with ambulances have been deployed to ensure proper medical facilities along with availability of specialists, mobile teams, and provisions of screening of old aged and vulnerable.
Assistant Director Health visited various places and also inspected Blood Donation camps which were organised by various social organisations.
Dr Kounser appreciated the efforts of CMO Budgam and his entire team for such well organised and established mechanism.
Later, Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather himself visited various places and institutions to assess the ground situation and to boost the morale of employees. He visited District Hospital Budgam and Bihest Zehra Park where blood donation camp was organised. Dr Mushtaq gave on spot directions to make full proof mechanism for comfort of mourners.
He urged officials to advise devotees to follow the Covid 19 protocol during processions and special prayers. The religious organisations expressed their gratitude towards Director Health Services for making elaborate arrangements for the Ashoora and for Muharram congregations.
Dr Tajamul thanked Director Health Services Kashmir for his support and guidance and explained that such visits by the top most chair of the department act as morale booster for front line workers.
