Srinagar March 26: Amid Nationwide Sankalp Satyagraha against ‘planned’ disqualification of Former AICC President Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Sunday also held Satyagraha in Srinagar to register protest against Modi Govt’s conspiracies and vendetta politics against the Congress Party.
While slamming the deep nexus between Adani Group and Modi Govt, JKPCC stated that Congress will continue its fight for safeguarding democracy and Institutions in the country.
Former JKPCC Presidents Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Peerzada Mohd.Sayeed, CWC Member Tariq Hameed Karra, Former Legislators Mohd Muzaffar Parray, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Senior Leader Surinder Singh Channi and other prominent Congress leaders participated in the Sankalp Satyagraha and questioned the relation between Modi Govt and Adani.
Senior Congress Leaders and workers assembled at Srinagar Party Office to participate in the Satyagraha and protested against alleged vendetta politics of BJP against Rahul Gandhi and demanded revocation of Gandhi’s disqualification. They termed the disqualification a planned move of Modi Govt after feeling insecure and uncomfortable by the issues raised in the Parliament especially on Adani Groups of Companies.
Talking to the media persons on the sidelines of the Satyagraha, Former JKPCC President and AICC Observer Ghulam Ahmad Mir  said  it was very unfortunate that GOI itself doesn’t allow the Parliament to function aiming to hide behind disruptions, so that the questioned  raised by the opposition especially Rahul Gandhi were evaded, for the fact, Modi Govt has no answer to them.
He termed Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Lok Sabha bizarre, a part of larger conspiracy of Modi Govt to intimidate and suppress the opposition, but the Congress Party will fight and ensure that democracy is safeguarded and restored as it used to be in the country before 2014.
Mir expressed solidarity with Rahul Gandhi and said every primary worker and leader of J&K Congress will stand behind Rahul Gandhi and contribute to his fight for safeguarding the Institutions and rights of the countrymen, he said and added that Modi Govt is nervous after Gandhi’s successful Bharat Jodo Yatra and knows that people have realized it is the Congress Party alone which is capable to fight for their rights and strengthening the democracy in the country.
