Srinagar, Oct 8: The lack of adequate e-rickshaw services along the busy Parimpora–Jahangir Chowk route in Srinagar city is causing significant inconvenience to daily commuters, students, and elderly passengers.
Locals complained that the number of e-rickshaws plying between Parimpora, Bemina, Batamaloo, and Jahangir Chowk has drastically declined, forcing passengers to wait long hours or depend on overcrowded buses.
“From last few weeks the services have gone down and commuters are suffering on the route badly especially officer-goers and students,” Manzoor Ahmad, a local of Bemina said.
“E-rickshaws were a blessing for daily commuters but their absence has made travel within the city much more difficult,” said Sahim Ahmad, a college student from Bemina.
Locals have urged the transport authorities to address the issue and ensure the smooth operation of e-rickshaw services along the busy corridor.
