Kargil, Dec 23: In a compassionate response to the severe drought conditions gripping Hunderman Brok village in Ladakh, Deputy Commissioner/CEO of LAHDC Kargil took swift action during a recent visit.
Dr. Gulzar Hussain, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, spearheaded the distribution of 50 Kg of cattle feed per household in collaboration with PRI members.
The relief initiative, announced by DC Kargil, aims to mitigate the adversities faced by villagers dealing with the relentless arid climate. Emphasizing the significance of this support, Dr. Gulzar highlighted the goal of enhancing milk production and improving the health of the villagers’ dairy cattle.
Villagers expressed their thanks for the timely assistance, recognizing the efforts of DC Kargil and Dr. Gulzar Hussain in alleviating the challenges faced by their community’s livestock during years of persistent drought.
