District Administration Samba today held Block Divas at 2 block headquarters viz. Ramgarh and Ghgawal to assess the local issues and listen to the grievances of the people for speedy disposal of the same with the intervention of senior government officers and representatives of panchayat institutions.
The visiting officers for the twin events were Assistant Commissioner Revenue Samba, Jitender Mishra for block Ramgrah and Sub Divisional Magistrate Ghgawal, Ram Kesh Sharma for Ghagwal block.
After listening to the local issues, the officers directed the concerned department heads to resolve the same expeditiously and submit the action taken report before next scheduled block divas. The various hurdles and bottlenecks in the social security schemes were also resolved on the spot with the convergence of multiple departments.
It was informed that 615 domicile certificates, 27 category certificates and 84 revenue certificates were issued under the set parameters, while several ration cards were AADHAR seeded and families were covered under Ayushman Bharat. The pending applicants were also covered under social security schemes, while 09 new KCC cards were issued.
Four new development works under MGNREGA were also started and 09 grievances were disposed of on the spot.

DDC listens to people’s issues at Reasi
Reasi, Oct 28: As a part of the Government’s public outreach program-Jan Abhiyan, District Administration Reasi today organized Block Diwas events across the district Reasi.
District Development Commissioner, InduKanwalChib attended the Block Diwas proceedings at District Headquarter and listened to the issues of public importance.
BDC Chairperson, Sarpanchs, Panchs and public of Block Pouni, Reasi, and Bhoomag participated in the Block Diwas program.
Several public issues including road connectivity to uncovered areas, better drinking water supply and augmentation of the health infrastructure were projected by the PRIs.
The specific issues which were projected by the PRIs were road connectivity from SimbalChowa to Dera Baba, installation of power distribution transformer at Chappramohalla and Pouni, drinking water augmentation at Mari A & B, repair of damaged hand pumps at Talwara lower, provision of electricity and water at Panchayat gharKothian, post office service at Bharakh and other issues.
The District Development Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the demands raised by the people and their representatives. Some of the issues were redressed on the spot, while others were forwarded to the concerned departments, with strict directions to resolve the same by the next Block Diwas.
While interacting with the Block Development Council Chairpersons, Sarpanchs, Panchs, and the public, the DDC said that the Block Diwas is being organized across the length and breadth of the JK UT, with the sole objective to provide more transparent, accountable, public-friendly and responsive administration to the people. “This initiative of the Government is contributing immensely to good governance”, she said.
BDC chairperson, Parveen Akhter, Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sanjay Badyal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Anirudh Rai, District Social Welfare Officer, Gulshan Sharma, Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies and consumers Affairs, Mohd Sayeed, Chief Education Officer, EXNs of different executing agencies, Officers from Agriculture ,Sericulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries ,Tehsildars, BDOs and other officers were present at the Block Diwas proceedings.

Effective service delivery key component of BlockDiwas: DC Ramban
Ramban, Oct 28: To ensure effective service delivery to the public by different departments, besides evolving a vibrant mechanism for on the spot redress of public grievances, District Development Commissioner, NazimZai Khan, today presided over a public hearing here at Maitra under “Block Diwas” initiative.Similar events were held at five different locations of district Ramban.
ACD, ZameerAhmed Rishi, DSWO, ARTO, BDO, Tehsildar, Xens, CHO, CAHO, DHSO, PRIs and other officers and officials of various departments attended the programme.
The DDC listened to public issues, grievances and demands highlighted by the PRIs, deputations and individuals from Panchyats Maitra, Seri, Sencha, Chanderkote, Sawni, Sildar, Pernote and other adjoining areas.
He encouraged the participants to highlight their individual issues also to avoid their visits to government offices. He directed the district and sectoral officers to ensure service counter of their respective departments at Block Diwas meetings so that the public can reap the benefits of different government schemes without visiting offices repeatedly.
The DDC directed Executive Engineer REW to prepare DPR for Panchayat Ghar Maitra. The PHE department was directed to cover all uncovered households under FHTC, similarly, AD Food was directed to ensure ration extension counters at Sencha. He also directed XEN PDD to cover all un-electrified households.
The DDC said that the district administration is making all efforts to provide all the basic amenities to the common masses at their doorsteps.
Earlier, the people apprised the DDC about their demands including construction of veterinary hospital at Chanderkote, development under CSR, availability of timber on concession rates, completion of Seri-Sencha road, ration depot at Sencha, upgrading of power infrastructure at Panchayat Balawat, computer/ laptop for Panchyats, replacement of wooden pole, staff for health centre at Bilawat , ration card for residents of Bakshi Nagar Mohalla, construction of Panchayat Ghar at Maitra and other issues and demands.
After listening to all the issues, the DDC passed on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redressal of the same. He assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time bound manner.

DC Kathua listens to public grievances at Bani
Kathua, Oct 28: To get first-hand account of the public grievances, Deputy Commissioner, Om ParkashBhagat, today presided over the Block Divas program here at Bani.SSP Kathua, Shailendra Mishra, BDC Chairpersons, District and block level officers, PRI members and a large number of people were present at the day long programme.
Delegations from different panchayats besides scores of individuals apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the problems faced being by them in day to day life. The delegations also include BDC Chairperson Duggan block, Neelam Devi.
The main issues highlighted during the programme include provision of local timber sale at concessional rates to PMAY beneficiaries, coverage of left out families under BPL/APL ration, permission to PRI members to extract minor minerals from Sewa River, opening of new ration depot at Dhoula and filling up of vacant posts of Gynaecologist and Orthopaedic surgeon at SDH Bani and staff in PHC Dhaggar. The provision to stock adequate PDD transformers in view of ensuing winters was also highlighted by the locals.
The DC gave patient hearing to the delegations and passed on the spot directions for redress of their grievances. He assured that highlighted issues of public importance will be taken up with higher authorities.
While interacting with the people, the DC said that public outreach programmes such as Block Divas is devised to reach to the doorstep of the people and redress their problems with the intervention of concerned departments besides assessing the progress of developmental works.
He said PRI representatives now have a larger role in local development. Appealing people to actively participate in Gram Sabhas, he said it was necessary to strengthen Panchayati Raj Institutions. He directed field functionaries of different departments to raise awareness on individual beneficiary oriented schemes.
Meanwhile at Hiranagar, Basohli and Billawar, Block Divas programmes were held at each designated location, where the team of Sub District / Sub Division administration along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied services to the people and listened to their grievances.

Block Divas activities held inRajouri
Rajouri, Oct 28: To redress the grievances of the common masses in a time bound manner, the district administration Rajouri under the overall supervision of the District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today organised Block Diwas programmes at identified locations across the district.
Official teams took appraisal of local issues to redress the same thereby providing governance to the public at their doorsteps.
A series of activities were organised in which PRI members and the people from all sections of the society participated and projected a wide range of issues of public importance. They sought availability of potable drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, road connectivity and other matters of vital public significance during interaction with the officers and officials of different departments.
A number of domicile certificates, category certificates and other revenue documents were issued on the spot.
Several grievances were also redressed with the intervention of the concerned departments and rest were documented for redressal in a time bound manner.
The officers and officials of different departments updated the people about various welfare schemes and programmes meant for their well-being and urged upon them to avail the benefits of the same.
Block Diwas programmes were organized following all the mandatory precautions like social distancing, wearing of masks and other measures in view of the COVID-19.
The locals expressed their gratitude towards the district administration for holding block divas which has now become a platform for governance at doorstep.

Block Diwas held at District Headquarter, Sub Divisions of Doda District
Doda, Oct 28:- Block Diwas was today held for redress of public grievances in Doda, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri and Assar which witnessed active participation of locals from across the seventeen blocks of the district.
The entire program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode.
Block events were held at each designated location, where the teams of District administration along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied service to the people and listened to their grievances.
Several grievances were raised during the program by the locals which the officials and respective departments assured to redress in a time bound manner. Besides,several services which include issuance of Domicile Certificates, RBA certificates and Income certificates were provided to the people on spot.
ADC Bhaderwah, SDM Gandoh, Thathri, Assar and Tehsildar Doda attended the block diwas to take the appraisal about the grievances raised by the people and services being provided to them during the program.
