Jammu, Nov 11: The JKPCC working-president Raman Bhalla Friday joined protesting railway employees at Jammu Railway Station who on the call of All India Railwaymen’s Federation across the country are staging protest demonstrations under the aegis of Northern Railwaymen’s Union demanding restoration of old pension scheme, prohibition of privatization and corporatization, filling of vacant posts, completion of cadre restructuring work, giving promotion avenues to young railway employees, etc.
The employees have warned that if their 11-point demands are not met soon, then railway employees across the country will go on a nationwide agitation, the responsibility of which will be of the Ministry of Railways and the Government of India.
The former Minister said that on the call of All India Railwaymen’s Federation, railway employees across the country are protesting against their long standing demands but the Railway Ministry and the Government of India are not taking the demands of the railway employees seriously.
The former Minister was felicitated with Shawl and idol of MaaVaishno Devi.
Bhalla asked people to strengthen the hands of Congress leadership as only Congress can fulfil the aspiration of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He described Congress Party as strong and vibrant in J&K, capable enough to defeat anti-people forces in the country.
