Beopar Mandal welcomes installation of new streetlights in Uri

Srinagar, Dec 13: The Beopar Mandal Uri has expressed satisfaction over the installation of new streetlights in the main town, calling it a long-pending demand of the local residents.

In a statement issued here, the Beopar Mandal said streetlights have been successfully installed in the main market area, bringing much-needed illumination and relief to traders as well as pedestrians.

The committee further informed that in the coming days, streetlights will also be installed in Lagama Market, Bandi Market, Banjran Road, Badshah Road, and all 13 wards of the Municipal Committee Uri.

“This step has been welcomed as a positive beginning toward improving public safety and urban infrastructure in Uri,” the statement said.

The Beopar Mandal Uri leadership, headed by its President Haji Mohammed Shafi, thanked Hon’ble MLA Dr Sajjad Shafi for responding to public demands and initiating this developmental work.

They expressed hope that the upcoming installation in the remaining areas will further enhance the town’s infrastructure.
