Jammu, Nov 09: Underscoring the UT administration’s commitment to foster people-centric governance, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the initiative's role in addressing the saturation of developmental schemes, ensuring rural communities benefit from both Central and UT initiatives.
Addressing the gathering at Back to Village-5 event at Chatha Farm, Satwari, the Lt Governor highlighted the administration's focus on vulnerable sections, saying “unprecedented resources have been allocated to spark a rural revolution”.
Sinha said the timely implementation and monitoring of programs in recent years have paved the way for holistic development, liberating various sections of society from discrimination and exploitation.
Lt Governor Sinha asserted that the path to J&K's progress lies in its villages and far-flung areas. He expressed determination to enhance infrastructure, public services, skills, and opportunities for youth and women, along with boosting the productivity of the Agriculture & allied sector.
Encouraging rural citizens to contribute to improving literacy rates and eradicating malnutrition and TB, the Lt Governor urged every village to aspire to become self-reliant, spearheading the sustainable development of J&K.
PRI representatives conveyed gratitude to the Lt Governor-led UT administration for extending development to the grassroots level. During the event, the Lt Governor visited stalls showcasing various government initiatives and welfare programs.
Among others present included Bharat Bhushan, Chairman, District Development Council Jammu; Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, along with senior officers, PRI members, and a large gathering of people.
