Armyman killed after his service rifle goes-off accidentally in Rafiabad

Baramulla, Oct 06: An army trooper was Thursday killed after his service rifle went off accidentally in Rafiabad area of Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
A police official said that an army trooper identified as Constable Chander Mohan of 32 RR Chatoosa Camp received a fatal bullet wound when his service rifle went off accidentally. 
Police said that the deceased trooper was travelling in an army vehicle from Chatoosa camp towards Watergam area of Rafiabad.  
"As per initial reports, the service rifle of the deceased trooper went off accidentally in the moving vehicle. The trooper was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead," he added. 
The police official said that further investigation has been initiated into the matter.
