After a Covid hiatus of two years, Srinagar parks abuzz with families & Children

Srinagar, July 12: After a hiatus of around two years of Covid-19, Srinagar parks on Tuesday witnessed an abuzz and good rush of families and children to observe the Eid-Ul-Adha Celebrations for the third consecutive day.
While many families told Rising Kashmir that they were happy to celebrate Eid outside their homes after a gap of around two years, an official from the floriculture department said that all parks in Srinagar along with other parks in other districts are open.
“Around all parks in Srinagar are open for the public along with other parks of the valley, people are coming to the parks to enjoy with their families”, said an official.
“Last two years of Covid-19 made us celebrate the Eid festivities at home, as there was scare of Covid-19 and Covid guidelines and SOPs which were in place also barred us from moving outside with our families”, said a family at Srinagar’s Pratap Park.
Children on occasion said they were happy to celebrate Eid in the open parks with their families.
In Srinagar, almost all parks were full of families, while children were seen playing on the occasion of the third day of Eid-Ul-Adha.
In Srinagar’s Iqbal Park, children's park, Gindun park near Rajbagh, and other parks witnessed a good rush of families to enjoy the festivities of Eid-Ul-Adha.
In the City centre Lal Chowk, Pratap Park also witnessed a good rush of families and children while snack vendors, Ice Cream shops opposite the park also witnessed a good rush.
