28th Annual Football Championship: Jammu leg concludes, semis played at GGM grounds

The second match was played between J&K Police XI and Shaheen FC. Both the teams exhibited quality football. However, J&K police dominated the second half, scoring in the 85th minute and maintained the lead till the final whistle.

Jammu, Mar 10: In the ongoing Annual Football Championship 2020-21, two semi-final matches were played on Wednesday at the Government Gandhi Memorial Science College grounds at Jammu. With these two matches, the first leg of the championship being played at Jammu concluded.

The first semi-final match was played between Param FC and Hero FC, which proved to be an exciting and thrilling match. While in the first half Hero FC scored two goals in the 38th and 45th minute, with virtually dominating the game the whole time, Param FC kept their spirits up and succeeded in scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Towards the dying movements of the game, Hero FC once scored a third goal and won the match 3-1.

The second match was played between J&K Police XI and Shaheen FC. Both the teams exhibited quality football. However, J&K police dominated the second half, scoring in the 85th minute and maintained the lead till the final whistle.

With these results, Hero FC and J&K Police entered the second round of the Championship, which would be played at Srinagar. The tournament is being organized by the JKFA and sponsored by JKSC.
