Anantnag, Oct 25: Government Degree College Mattan organized a felicitation ceremony to felicitate the students who presented the research project “Springs of life in Anantnag “at the Second United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress held at Hyderabad from 10th to 14th October 2022”.
The event was organized by the United Nations and was hosted by India through the Ministry of Science and Technology. Two students namely, Mohsin Nazir and Anan Javaid presented the research project and bagged third position at the international level. This has also put J&K among the top 3rd position after Odisha and Haryana.
In the inaugural ceremony Worthy Principal Prof. Syed Javaid Hussain applauded the students for their dedicated efforts that brought laurels to the college and to the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. All faculty members placed applause on record for the students who added flying colors to the institution.
Dr. Aabid Hussain Mir, under whose guidance the entire research project work was carried out, was also applauded by the principal.
The principal also appreciated Bharti Vidyapeeth University Pune and Engagement Global Germany for the opportunity and CERD (Community of Education Research and Development) Foundation, Anantnag for support and collaboration.
