Vakil demands releasing salaries of daily wagers, casual need-based, contingent paid workers, Anganwadi workers on priority

Srinagar, April 30: Senior vice-president J&K Peoples’ Conference (PC) and former minister, Abdul GaniVakil, Saturday urged LG-led administration to ensure full-proof arrangements including essential supplies, ration, and other things so that people would not suffer on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said in view of Eid-ul-Fitr, the administration should release salaries of daily wagers, casual need-based, Contingent paid workers, Anganwadi workers, and others so that their families will not suffer and have a sigh of relief on the occasion of Eid.
He said even contractual employees working in different government departments are without salaries for several months together. They are on the verge of starvation and their salaries should be released so that they can also observe Eid-ul-Fitr with their families, Vakil said.
Vakil also urged people to take care of the destitute, orphans, widows and other victims of fate in their respective localities so that these people can also celebrate Eid.
