Bandipora, July 14: Two border villages in Gurez Tehsil of north Kashmir's Bandipora have been suffering due to absence of mobile network connectivity in their areas.
The residents told Rising Kashmir that the two villages including Tarabal and Kashpath villages does not have mobile network connectivity and locals needed to cover long distances for making a phone call.
They futher said that at a time when phone connectivity is running all over the country, their villages still lack this facility due to which the people are facing a lot of problems here.
"The residents have been demanding a mobile tower for a long time now,” Muneer Ahmad a local told Rising Kashmir, adding that the students suffer more acutely.
"Our students are most affected here. Their studies have been affected even last year when there were online classes," Afrooza a teacher told Rising Kashmir.
They appealed  Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to intervene into the matter so that the suffering of the people of border villages might be mitigated.
