Transmission of Explicit content on ‘Instagram’, Cyber Police Kashmir registers case

 Srinagar, August 12: After news reports surfaced over the alleged transmission of explicit content on the social media platform ‘Instagram’, Cyber Police Kashmir, on Friday registered a case against some unknown Social Media (Instagram) users on Friday.
 Earlier the news reports surfaced that some unknown Instagram users were posting adult content and live streaming explicit content over the last few days, following which Cyber Police took cognizance of the matter and registered a case FIR No. 43/2022 U/S 67, 67A IT Act, 294 IPC.
 In a tweet Cyber Police Kashmir tweeted, “After taking cognisance of live transmission of explicit content by some unknown Social Media (Instagram) users, Cyber Police Kashmir has registered a case FIR No. 43/2022 U/S 67, 67A IT Act, 294 IPC and investigation set into motion”.
 Meanwhile, netizens while expressing concern over the matter have urged the police to look into the matter of sharing transmission of explicit content over Instagram by a few handles.
