Tourism deptt seeks applications for homestay registrations in Bandipora

Bandipora Aug, 03: Jammu and Kashmir Tourism department on Wednesday sought applications from eight tourist villages of North Kashmir's Bandipora district for homestay registrations.
In a communique, a copy of which lies with Rising Kashmir states that the department of tourism has sought applications from the residents of eight tourist villages of Bandipora for registration of Home Stay facilities for Tourists (Paying Guests).
The villages include ZurimanzAloosa, KetsanAloosa, SK PayeenAjas, Bagtore, Sheikhpora, CharwanAjas, Surinder and Authwatoo.
Earlier in June this year, Jammu and Kashmir government issued procedural guidelines for registration of homestays/paying guests in J&K UT.
Last year, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha launched a tourist village network under which 75 villages known for historical, picturesque beauty, and cultural significance were identified to transform these picturesque villages into tourist villages.
