Srinagar boy opens initiative of providing bicycles for rent

Srinagar, July 17: A Srinagar boy Mohammad Ubaid Nazir, 25, has started an initiative ‘Cieclo’ where he provides bicycles to customers on a rent basis.
Nazir told Rising Kashmir about the aim and objective of this initiative are to provide facilities in an eco-friendly environment to Srinagar city.
Right now Nazir has focused on one spot at Dalgate ‘Ghat 01’ where visitors as well locals can come and take a bicycle on a rent basis.
“We have only 8 cycles available and if we receive a good response from the people then we can add more spots where we can display more bicycles.”
“I have been passionate about cycling since childhood.The idea struck my mind three months before where I thought of opening an initiative where people can rent a bicycle,” he added.
“In European countries, for sightseeing a place like Dal Lake, there you can rent a bicycle for rent.So I started this service at Dalgate and it is the best place to start bicycling around Dal Lake.”
“Mostly the footfall of visitors is high in this area so I started the service from here,” he added.
Talking about the charges, he said that he chargesat the rate of two rupees per minute and has installed GPS tracking on this bicycle too.
The brands of bicycles available are Firefox, PolyGen, and Phantom.
