Shameen wins Mr J&K, Tanzeel wins Mr Men’s Physique titles

 Srinagar, Oct 31: Shameem Ahmad Magray finished first place in the overall bodybuilding category while Tanzeel Hussan Rather won first place in the overall Men's physique category in First NPC & IPA Mr. J&K Bodybuilding & Men's Physique Championship 2021 here at Polo ground Srinagar on Sunday.
 More than 44 athletes competed against each other in this competition from across Jammu and Kashmir.
 Shameem Ahmad finished champion of champions in the overall bodybuilding category while Tanzeel Ahmed won first place in the overall Men's physique category.
 35 years old, Shameem hails from north Kashmir;s district Baramulla Sopore area while 21 years old Tanzeel Hussan Rather hails from south Kashmir’s Anantnag districts Dialgam area.
 Talking to Rising Kashmir B.com pass out Shameem said that it is a dream of every bodybuilder to win this title and qualify for Sheru Classic.
 “To win this title was my lifelong dream and to qualify for IHFF Amateur Olympia in “Sheru Classic, I am hopeful that I will win a pro card and represent India at Mr. Olympia,” he said.
Tanzeel said that this was a proud moment for me as his dream came true.
“I had prepared hard for this title,” he said.
 Talking to Rising Kashmir, J&K, Head, National Physique Committee, Indian Physique Alliance, also President J&K Physique Alliance, Asif Rashid Saboonsoz said this is the first time in history of J&K that these two Champions qualified for International Health Sports and Fitness Festival (IHFF) Amateur Olympia in “ Sheru Classic” Scheduled to be held  December, 3, 4, and 5 in Mumbai India.
 “It is a matter of pride for the whole of J & K,” he said.
 On the occasion Saboonsoz encouraged all the athletes and assured them that he is hopeful that these Athletes will bring laurels home by winning international titles.
 “Our players have potential to put them on the big stage. It was the first team in the last 30 years to qualify for the Sheru Classic, that being said this is the platform that can show Athletes the road to Mr. Olympia. Mr J&K State Championship not only won the players but also got a lot of exposure,” he said.
He added that holding the event was a challenge for them and they are really grateful to the administration particularly Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul for her continuous support and making this event successful.
