Secy JKSC, players, coaches celebrate Baisakhi with destitute children

Jammu, April 14: Secretary JKSC Nuzhat Gull along with International players ,office bearers of Associations and Coaches of JKSC  celebrated Baisakhi at Bal grah, a charitable home for the destitute children at Channi Rama Jammu.
As per official, Nuzhat Gul Secretary sports council JK along with International players , Dronacharya awardee, office bearers of Association and International and reputed Coaches of JKSC celebrated Baisakhi  with students of Bal grah Channi Rama on Thursday.
The students of the Bal grah were very enthusiastic and performed Bangra dance on the famous Dol with the international icons of the UT J&k, Coaches of Different fields of JKSC on  the eve of Baisakhi.
During the interaction  Gul emphasised on playing sports as sports teaches one discipline and make sportspersons physically and mentally fit. 
"Sports is the only medium where we can triumph the hearts of millions and make the country and the UT proud," Gul said while stressing on participation in sports.
Gul on the occasion while encouraging students  gave examples of  Arif Khan Olympian Skeir, Asian Games medalist Surya Bhanu Partap Singh, Dronacharya awardee Kuldeep Handoo, Chandeep  Singh  international medalist in the Taekwondo, Shweta Thakur Judo international player, Meenal Gupta Ace Chess Player UT J&K and other players who are the pride of the UT J&K.
She also assured all the students and the administration of the Bal Grah that soon she will start Wushu and Chess classes  with all required equipments.
Later on Secretary JKSC presented sports equipments  including Cricket Kits, Footballs, Volleyball Carrom Board etc among the students contributed by the employees of the JKSC.
On the occasion, International Players also interacted with the students and educated them about the importance of sports and in particular Fitness which is the only remedy to overcome all the obstacles of life and also shared their experience with them. 
The other dignitaries present on the occassion were President Hockey Association J&K, Rajiv Sharma, Satish Gupta Manager JKSC, Suriender Pal Singh National Team coach Gymnastic, Atul Gupta Secretary Chess Association of J&K  Anil Wadhera Boxing Coach, Satpal Singh Footbal Coach.
