Jammu, Aug 05: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday held an emergency press conference in Jammu which was addressed by the Jammu province incharge of Aam Aadmi Party, Harjot Singh Bains who is also Cabinet Minister in the Punjab Government.
According to a statement from the party, while addressing the press conference, AAP Jammu Incharge and Punjab's Cabinet Minister, Harjot Singh Bains said that on one hand the BJP government is making tall claims of development in Jammu and Kashmir after abrogation of Article 35-A and 370 but realities on ground are allegedly “contrary” to the claims and every sector is affected that especially include recruitment sector.
"Scams, irregularities and misdoings are hounding every recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir send it has become a routine now and sad state of affairs are to such an extent that not even a single recruitment has been taken to its conclusion in recent years leaving aspirants in a state of uncertainty," he said.
Recruitment initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir have fallen flat and recruitment processes like in Fire and Emergency Services, Jammu and Kashmir bank, Finance Accounts Assistant, Jammu and Kashmir Police have either been abolished for no fault of genuine candidates or are hanging midway with aspirants waiting for joining even after months of release of selection lists.
The failure of Government is evident from the fact that Jammu and Kashmir Government has failed to even conduct a single recruitment process in years which is free from allegations of irregularities, misdoings, favourites, nepotism and corruption.
Harjot Singh Bains added, "Unemployment is a major issue in the entire country but the situation is more worrisome in Jammu and Kashmir due to absence of private sector and dependency of youth on government recruitment."
Regarding the issue of daily wagers and unregularised workers of different government departments in Jammu and Kashmir, AAP leader said that human exploitation of daily wagers and unregularised workers is on peak with daily wages and unregularised workers of almost every single department are on roads for their plight and helplessness state due to callous approach of Jammu and Kashmir Government.
Over the recruitment issue, Harjot Singh Bains said that Aam Aadmi Party is going to hold protests against the Government on Saturday with protest rallies are to be organised in all forty three assembly constituencies of Jammu with start and end points of every protest rally is decided and protests will be held to awaken Jammu and Kashmir Government from its hibernation and to make it realise about its “anti- employees” approach.
Over the ongoing agitation of the Kashmiri Pandit employees engaged under PM Package, Bains said that the BJP Government is making a national level publicity on the name of Kashmiri Pandit employees and on claims of their settlement but the employees are on receiving end and sitting on dharna for their safety and security which otherwise is prime responsibility of Government.
Regarding activities of party in Jammu province, the AAP incharge for province, Harjot Singh Bains said that twelve thousand party workers have been trained in a series of sessions held recently and these twelve thousand party workers are soldiers of AAP who will play pivotal role in bringing reforms in Jammu and Kashmir.
