Save fetus from harmful radiations
Post by on Thursday, July 1, 2021

Radiation can be harmful to the growing baby inside the womb of the mother. Thus pregnant ladies should avoid exposure to radiation, especially during first 3 months when the baby is most susceptible.
For this reason Xray and CT scan should be done during pregnancy only when absolutely necessary.
However, Ultrasound and MRI are completely safe as they don’t use ionising radiation. Ultrasound uses sound waves and MRI uses magnetic fields.
