Rampaul questions govt’s alleged ‘silence’ over power crisis, says public suffering badly

Jammu, April 27: Alerting the district coordinators of NC central zone, ex-Minister and president central zone NC, BabuRampaul Wednesday urged the organisation to make their presence feel at the ground level to assess and raise the voice of public presently hit hard due to power crisis and mismanagement of the LG Administration which is still in deep hibernation to take cognizance of the cries of public suffering due to power failure.
A party statement said that while pointing out that UT administration assured consumers after installation of smart meters that there will be uninterrupted power supply, all their fake promises have proved as “hoax” and deliberate attempt to “harass the public” with drastically irregular power supply even in the month of April.
The frequent fluctuation and erratic power supply has caused huge damage to electric gadgets, besides hindering the studies of students and patients suffering from serious ailments, he added.
He said that the government is “insensitive” to the problems of a particular community who surely need electricity in the morning and evening during Ramadan period, he rued, adding that this type of power crisis has not been seen ever, he added.
