Radio Mirchi's month-long awareness programme on 'under age driving' concludes

Srinagar, July 29: Radio Mirchi started a month-long social campaign to raise awareness about underage driving after seeing the death of a young man at the hands of underage drivers.
Underage driving has been a huge menace in Kashmir to educate about the laws in place Radio Mirchi has interacted with young people and educated them about the perils of underage driving.
During the morning drive time with RJ Mehak in which they focussed on spreading information and interacting with parents, teachers, young people and all the members of the society on the same.
This campaign on underage driving included interviews with SSP Traffic City Srinagar and also Advocate RomaanMuneeb about driving.
Team Mirchi went to different schools like Biscoe Mallinson and the new convent to interact with students and tell them about the laws in place.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, RJ Mehak said that “We at Mirchi believe in engaging the youth to make real changes which is why we choose to trend songs to make fun jingles so that they can relate.
She also said I spoke to them as a friend in a fun way about the driving so that they can expect real change on the ground and the Mirchi Kasam was fun to get the message across the valley.
Radio Mirchi asked parents and students to take pledges against underage driving.
