Police busts fake vehicle insurance racket in Srinagar, 4 arrested

Srinagar, Sep 17: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have busted a fake vehicle insurance racket and arrested four persons in this connection. 
Police also seized a mobile phone, printer and laptop from the possession of the accused.
A police official said the racket was busted and the accused person had produced a fake and forged insurance paper in a local court here.
Police have identified the accused persons as Nazir Ahmad Kuchay and Farooq Ahmad Baba both residents of GenzKhudNawabazar, Tariq Ahmad Chundisaaz resident of DabtalNawabazar and Reyaz Ahmad Daga resident of RamporaQamarwari.
One among the accused persons had produced fake & forged insurance policies of vehicles.
A Fir No 138/21 U/s 420,467,468,471 IPC has been registered in Police Station Batmaloo. During the course of the investigation, it has surfaced that vehicles of said accused persons namely Farooq Ahmad Baba & Nazir Ahmad Kuchay were earlier seized by the Court and on Thursday during the trial, the said accused persons produced fake insurance policies before the Court.
During further investigation, it surfaced that the duo managed the fake insurance policies from Reyaz Ahmad Daga through one agent namely Tariq Ahmad Chudisaaz. 
One laptop, one mobile phone and one printer have been seized. However, the investigation into the case is underway," police said. 
The police official maintained that further arrests are expected into the case.
