Srinagar, April 28: Political parties Thursday greeted people on the auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadr and observance of Jumatul Vida.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress (JKPCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir has said that Shab-e-Qader is extremely pious night in which Almighty Allah revealed the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for guidance of mankind.
Shab-e-Qadr known as LailatulQader is the most significant occasion, which provides opportunities to seek mercy and forgiveness of sins.
The basic message of this auspicious occasion is to purify souls from all sins and lead the life of truthfulness, the JKPCC president said.
JKPCC president also greeted people on the observance of Jumat-Ul-Vida, hoping that auspicious occasion leads the people to the path of righteousness, bringing prosperity and happiness in the country in general and J&K in particular.
Apni Party president Syed Mohammad AltafBukhari in his message of felicitation, said that this auspicious night gives us an opportunity to seek forgiveness from Allah and seek his mercy, blessings and generosity.
"This is a night of forgiveness and on this night Almighty Allah chose to reveal the holy Qu’ran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the guidance of the mankind. We need to follow the teachings of the Quran and rectify our mistakes and seek blessings and forgiveness from the Creator. I would pray for peace, prosperity and tranquility for the people of Jammu and Kashmir," he said.
Former Cabinet Minister and Apni Party senior vice-president Ghulam Hassan Mir extending hearty greetings to people while observing that LaylatulQadr, ‘Night of Power’, holds a very important place in Islam wherein Almighty Allah revealed the Quran to his beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
"It provides us the best opportunity to seek mercy and forgiveness on this sacred night and pray for peace and prosperity across the region," he added.
BJP general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul felicitated the whole Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr. Shab-e-Qadr means the night of forgiveness & atonement, Koul said.
He prayed for betterment of the people and hoped that the holy night would bring Allah’s generosity to all. He also prayed that the auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace and prosperity in the state.

Peoples’ Conference (PC) chairman SajadGani Lone greeted people on Shab-e-Qadr and Jumatul Vida, praying that the sacred night may bring with it peace, prosperity and lasting tranquillity for the people reeling under the present distress in Jammu and Kashmir.
Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF) and former minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen felicitated people especially Muslim Ummah on the occasion of holly Shab-e-Qadre .
In his message, Hakeem Yaseen prayed that the holy occasion may prove the harbinger of lasting peace and prosperity in troubled Jammu and Kashmir.
People's Democratic Party (PDP) state youth secretary ArifLaigaroo greeted the people of J&K on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr that is being observed tonight and Jamat-ul-Vida.
In his message, extending hearty greetings to people while observing that LaylatulQadr, holds a very important place in Islam wherein Almighty Allah revealed the Quran to his beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
