Pol leaders demand probe into selection list of police sub-inspectors

Srinagar, June 09: Several political leaders Thursday demanded a probe into the selection list of police sub-inspectors.
CPI (M) leader Mohammad YousufTarigami expressed serious concern over the alleged irregularities in the recently declared result for the posts of Sub-Inspector with the department of Jammu and Kashmir Police. The result, as scores of aspirants alleged, reeks of gross irregularities.
Apni Party (AP) youth wing provincial president Jammu, Vipul Bali demanded CBI probe in the recruitment scam of Sub Inspectors in J&K Police.
In his statement, Bali said that the youth who had applied for the recruitment in JKP as SI have expressed their apprehensions that the recruitment process was a scam and it should be investigated in depth. He said that the allegations are very serious and the government must look into it. Apni Party (AP) district president-Anantnag Abdul Rahim Rather also expressed his deep concern over the allegations that suggest a large-scale fraud has occurred in the selection process of the Sub-inspector (SI) posts, conducted by the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) recently.
He urged the authorities to look into matters to ensure corrective measures for wrongdoings, as alleged, so that faith in such institutions is restored.
 
 
 
JKSA seeks CBI probe in JKPSI exam result
J&K Students Association (JKSA) Thursday urged Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to order a CBI probe into alleged Jammu and Kashmir Police sub- inspector exam result. In a statement, Association has requested Lieutenant Governor to take serious cognizance of the issue, so that a major alleged scam is unearthed and those fraudulently figuring in the list of candidates who have qualified written examination are immediately removed from the said list. "There are very serious allegations of blue eyed candidates making it to top slot of merit list. This has led to serious frustration among those who burnt their mid night oil and worked restlessly", added the statement.
"The association appreciates the time bound intervention from Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha whose honesty and integrity is a blessing to job aspirants but, ordering a CBI probe will boost the morale of all those who firmly believe in the rule of law. Moreover, there is a unanimous call for the same from hardworking aspirants ", read the statement.
