Pol leaders condemn attack on police party in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 12: : Apni Party (AP) president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari strongly condemned the attack on the police naka party in Lal Bazaar area of Srinagar Tuesday evening, in which an Assistant Police Sub- Inspector Mushtaq Ahmad got killed and two cops were injured.
In a statement, Syed Altaf Bukhari expressed his shock and grief over the attack.
He said, “Such cowardly attacks are against humanity. Everybody must condemn such brutal attacks in the strongest possible terms. My heart goes out to the family of the killed cop.”
“I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Mushtaq Ahmad, and stand in solidarity with them in this hour of extreme pain and agony,” he said.
Bukhari urged the security agencies to nab the terrorists so that they can be brought to dace the justice system.
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader, Hilal Jan also condemned the killing and prayed for the speedy recovery of other two injured policemen.
Jan, who is also the chief spokesperson for party's Minority Morcha prayed for the slain ASI Mushtaq Ahmad killed by gun men. "I condemn the killing by gunmen today," Jan said, adding, government must strengthen the security grid to nab the culprits behind the attack and punish the culprits.
Hilal Jan while expressing his sympathies with the bereaved family said targeting innocent people wouldn't yield any result, but will add more miseries in Kashmir.
Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen condemned the killing.
In a statement, the PDF chairman extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
He has also prayed for early recovery of the two police personnel injured in the gruesome attack.
