‘Pedal for Peace cycling competition held in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Feb 06: The Jammu and Kashmir Flying Kick, a Ganderbal based association, on Saturday organised a "Pedal for Peace" cycling competition at Barsoo Bye-Pass Ganderbal.

A total of 70 participants from across district Ganderbal including boys and girls in various age groups participated in the event and showcased their talent.

The race started from Barsoo Bye-Pass at 11 AM morning  and culminated at Sainik School Ganderbal.

Earlier, Founder, J&K Youth Development Forum Ganderbal and President JK Flying Kick Association Farooq Ganderbali  kicked off the event.

At the conclusion,  Farooq Ganderbali and other personalities present on the occasion also distributed appreciation awards and cash prizes among the students and urged them to take part in the sports.

"The motive behind organising this event was to give a message of peace and inculcate sports spirit among the youth," the organiser said.

Adeeba Jan stood first whileas Safiya Gul second and Soliha Ashraf and Bintul secured third positions respectively in the competition.
