‘Pedal against Drugs’ cycling championship held in Sopore

Baramulla, Sep 26: A cycling championship ‘Pedal against Drugs’ was held on Sunday which started from Main Chowk Sopore and culminated at Government Higher Secondary Institute, Botingoo here.
 Around 80 cyclists in three different age categories participated in the championship.  
Sudanshu Verma, SSP Sopore, was chief guest on the occasion. Guinness World Record holder in cycling Aadil Teli, SHO Warpora and SHO Sopore, Advocate Azim Pandith, Senior Members of JKHSC Ahsan Ali, Rafiq Dar and Vilayat Hussain were also present.
In the sub-junior category Mohammad Aman got first position while Abu Bakar and Saad bagged second and third position respectively.
In the junior category Arfat Bashir got first position while Asim Teli and Adnan Bashir got second and third position respectively.
In the senior group Manan Hassan won the championship while Nadeem and Aqib attained second and third spot. 
 The event was organized by Adventure Wing of Sopore under the aegis of J&K Hussaini Sports Club and was sponsored by Star Tech, Mann Te Salva, Ali Infra. The event was supported by J&K Police and Health Department.
