PDP urges govt to reconsider banning of FAT schools

Srinagar, June 17:  Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Friday urged administration to reconsider the decision of shutting down academic activities in FAT run schools.
In a statement, PDP leader Laigroo said that the FAT run schools have played a vital role in spreading quality education in far flung areas. The school should not be seen as threat to any type of integration.
FAT run school have been providing education. The decision may snatch the livelihood of about hundreds of family. Government must think about their employment also.
This is a unilateral decision, may have bad effect on students, studying in FAT schools.
He also said that, these schools are well affiliated with concerned authority as per rule of law.
Most of these schools are run on charity and local donations so to provide cheaper education to all cutting across religious lines.
Government has failed to provide quality education at far off places and closing up the schools which play a pivotal role seems to be a decision taken in harsh. Laigroo appealed government to reconsider their decision of closing FAT schools.
