Pandits' greetings at Mata KheerBhawani strengthens Valley's composite culture: Raman Suri

Jammu, June 09: Expressing his happiness over the elaborate security arrangements made at Mata KheerBhawani Temple, Tula Mula and greetings of Kashmiri Pandit devotees at the temple, BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri Thursday said that this warm gesture strengthens the Valley's composite culture and bond between all communities, which is the real identity of India.
Raman Suri said that JyeshthaAshtami, on which Mela is held at Mata KheerBhawani, is treated as very auspicious and Pandits from across the world offer prayers at the temple during this time. It is after two years of pandemic that MelaKheerBhawani has started again and this is of utmost importance and reverence for the Pandits, who are offering peace prayers at the temple.
The BJP leader said that elaborate arrangements at Srinagar Airport, Nehru Park, Shiv Pora and other locations in Kashmir by the local administration is facilitating the pilgrims in a big way and this is also sending a very positive signal across the world. He said that the majority community members have shown their brotherhood and empathy by welcoming Kashmiri Pandits to the temple and have sent a very strong message to the forces inimical to peace.
This is a very auspicious occasion for Kashmiri Pandits across the world who are offering their prayers at Mata KheerBhawani in large numbers, he said, adding that this temple construction was started by Maharaja Pratap Singh way back in 1912 and Maharaja Hari Singh got the construction work completed to facilitate pilgrims. He lauded the efforts of various social and religious organisation of Kashmir for taking extra pain to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of this famous KheerBhawaniMela. 
He also expressed his happiness over the beginning of the Mela after two years of pandemic wherein over twenty thousand pilgrims have so far offered their prayers at Mata KheerBhawani Temple.
