Pakistani terrorists shot dead Kashmiri teacher, students devastated

Srinagar, May 31: A woman teacher was shot dead by terrorists outside her school in south Kashmir Gopalpora area of Kulgam district.
The slain teacher was identified as Rajni Bala (36), who belonged to Jammu's Samba district but was posted at a government school in Gopalpora, Kulgam.
According to the police, Bala sustained multiple gunshot injuries and succumbed to her injuries after being taken to a local hospital.
Condemning the killing Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha tweeted, “Terrorist attack on a school teacher, Rajni Bala is the most reprehensible act. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Terrorists and their sympathizers will be given an unforgettable response for the dastardly attack.”
Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kashmir range Vijay Kumar told Rising Kashmir that they will soon identify and neutralize the slain teacher’s killers.
"Terrorists involved in this gruesome terror crime will be soon identified and neutralized. We are working on all leads to nab the culprits behind the attack," he said.
A police spokesman said on Tuesday around 10:30 in the morning, police received information about a terror crime incident near Government High School Gopalpora area of Kulgam district where terrorists had fired upon a Hindu lady teacher identified as Rajni Bala, 36 years old, wife of Raj Kumar resident of Samba, Jammu (A/P Chawalgam Kulgam).
"In this terror crime incident she had received critical gunshot injuries and was evacuated to hospital where she was declared dead, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated an investigation.
"Officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of the terror crime and terrorists involved in this gruesome terror crime will be soon identified and neutralized," the spokesman said.
Following the incident, the whole area was cordoned off with the help of reinforcement and a search was operation was going on till late Tuesday evening.
