Srinagar, June 12: Vishal was one of many entrepreneurs who participated in a three-day trade exhibition in Srinagar. He says that he has come to Kashmir in a bid to introduce packaging for Kashmir art products that will add value to the already beautiful Kashmir art.
With Packaging and gift wrapping becoming an emerging trend in Kashmir for entrepreneurs, Vishal says that he witnessed a good market in Kashmir and wanted to try his luck here. He said that despite pan India clientele for packaging and printing they have come to the valley with the purpose of awareness about the new products and services which they can offer to the people of Kashmir directly.
Ludhiana-based businessman Vishal who along with his daughter and Son had come to exhibit his products and services prompted most of the visitors to visit his stall. He wanted them to have a glimpse of the layered canvas paintings which were on display at his stall.
While speaking to Rising Kashmir he said that apart from the manufacture of packaging products for Bakery and other business sectors, they are known in all forms of printing from offset to digital or 3D.
“The purpose of participating in the exhibition is to create awareness and reach out to the people of Kashmir about our latest products. Be it wedding cards, gift boxes, dry fruit boxes or carry bags we will offer everything to the clients of Kashmir”, he said.
Vishal said that they wanted to offer the services and products which are used during marriages or parties. He said that with a huge market for Kashmir wedding related items, they wanted to explore the opportunities in the vast Kashmiri market.
“We can offer customized carry bags with the name of function or event. In addition to bulk order, we can take orders in small quantities. We will take each order even if an order is placed for a handful of items. We can also make customized sweet and dry fruit boxes”, said Vishal.
Anshul, a professional Photographer accompanying his father for the exhibition said that they want to cater to the Kashmir art industry as they want to introduce the packaging boxes for the Pashmina and other premium Kashmiri art products.
“If a visitor comes to Kashmir and purchases a Pashmina Shawl or any other premium Kashmiri handicraft item, the packaging should be equally attractive, that adds to the value of the product”, he said.
Calling it as a family business, Vishal said that his entire family has been in this business for the last 25 years and have always strived to come up with something new.
“We have introduced a first of its kind ‘Acrylic Invitees’ which is gold foil printing specially for the wedding cards which one can preserve for life. It helps clients to make the day a lifetime memory which even can be framed”, said Vishal.
Vanchika during the three-day exhibition assisted her father in noting down the queries of the visitors and also gave a brief overview to visitors about the products and services they offer.
“I have maintained a data of people I spoke of which we will be working on potential purchasers for bigger orders. The intent is to give them good products and services at reasonable rates. We want people of Kashmir to know what is new in printing and packaging”, she said.
Notably, for the first time in Kashmir Industrialists, manufacturers of various bakeries, food processing machinery, and of high-end graphic printing and packaging participated in a three-day exhibition, the event witnessed the participation of around 50 stalls.
