A IS NOT FOR APPLES
VITAMIN A also known as retinol.
This vitamin is critical for the proper functioning of our immune system. Vitamin A plays a vital part in night vision, protects the skin against ageing keeping it supple and glowing.
A strong antioxidant, it neutralizes the oxidative stress protecting the body against a host of diseases.
Sources of Vitamin A are mostly non vegetarian: Egg, organ meats, oily fish.
For vegetarians, including Beta carotene rich foods is a good strategy as this gets converted to Vitamin A in the body.
Good sources: Orange vegetables like pumpkin, carrots, green and red leafy vegetables, red peppers. Yellow fruits like mango, papaya, apricots
