NPC Mr. J&K bodybuilding competition: Mukhtihar Khan claims title

Srinagar, June 06: 34-year-old Mukhtihar Khan from district Srinagar on Sunday won NPC Mr. J&K title in the final round of NPC National Physique Alliance Mr.J&K bodybuilding competition 2022, held at Tagore Hall Srinagar.
Khan started the competition by securing first place in the 70 Kilograms weight category. In the final round in the overall weight category, he competed with six bodybuilders in different weight categories including 60,65, 70,  75,80, 85 kgs (weight categories) respectively.
Khan hails from Wazir Bagh,  Lal Mandi Srinagar, and is currently working  part-time job as senior trainer at Anytime Fitness Gym, situated at Jawahar Nagar Srinagar, the largest chain of gyms originated from U.S.A.
Talking to Rising Kashmir Mukhtihar Khan said that he started bodybuilding journey at the age of 19 with an intention to gain weight as he had lean body which many times gave him discomfort.
" As I found my body in good shape. I later, developed passion for body building, which kept growing with time. And today, I cannot imagine a day without doing workout at Gym," he says.
He claims to have won several competitions since he started bodybuilding journey.
"I have won several competitions including Mr. Kashmir runners up in 2015, bronze medal in IBBF  in 2012 and best body poser title in years 2014, 2015, 2016 etc.," he says, and added', "After winning Mr. J&K title, my joy has no leaps and bounds as I have been working hard past several months.
He added that he has been receiving felicitation from friends, relatives and other athletes from different districts. He credits his success to his parents for supporting him in every thin and thick of life."My parents have always been supportive to me," he says.
A total of  65 participants including bodybuilders and fitness models competed in this competition from across J&K.
On the occasion NPC Indian Physique Alliance Head Heemant Angresh and  NPC Indian Physique Alliance President Dr. Ankur Hastir were special guests and held responsibility of jury members.
The event was organised by NPC J&K President, Mohsin Ahmad Gilkar under the aegis of NPC Indian Physique Alliance.
