NIFF Youth Football League 2021: SCFA Srinagar, Arco Sopore FA triumph

Srinagar, Nov 23: In the ongoing NIFF Youth Football League 2021, three matches were played on Tuesday in match first SCFA Srinagar thrashed Gungbugh FA by 6:0 while ARCO Sopore defeated Tengpora FA by 6:1 in second match and third match between Anantnag FA and J&K Bank ended in a goalless draw here at Synthetic Turf TRC Football Stadium.
The first match of the day was played between SCFA and Gungbugh FA. SCFA Srinagar outplayed Gungbugh FA by 6-0 which proved to be a one side affair for the SCFA from the early start of the game. While Gunghugh tried their hardest to score but could not succeed in their endeavor till the final moments of the game. Feroz Ahmad of SCFA was declared Player of the Match and received the prize by the Chief Guest, B. A. Malik.
Second match of the day was played between ARCO Sopore FA and Tengpora FA which was also a one sided match while ARCO dominated the match from the start of the game as they kept scoring goals at regular intervals. However, the Tengpora team could score a lone goal in the match. The match eventually ended with ARCO defeating Tengpora by 6:1 goals. Kashif Rashid received the Player of the Match award from the Chief Guest of the match, Haseeb-Ur- Rehman.
In the third and last encounter of the day Anantnag FA surprised J&K Bank FA by a goalless draw, thus Anantnag FA taking a point away from this game. Mohammad Salah was given the Player of the Match award by the Chief Guest, Tariq Ahmed Bhat.
The League is the first of its kind of initiative taken by NIFF for providing an ample platform to junior age group players. MOM’s were awarded with a cash prize of ? 1500/- and a memento.
The Youth Football League is being organized by NIFF J&K in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and is being sponsored by New JK Roadways.
