NIFF, JKSC kicks-off Youth Football League at TRC Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 13: The National and Internationals Footballers Forum (NIFF) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council, sponsored by New J&K Roadways on Saturday kicked off the Youth Football League here at Synthetic Turf TRC.
The league started with playing its two matches one between J&K Bank Academy and Kupwara FA while the second between Sports Council Football Academy (SCFA) and Langate Handwara FA.
As per the fixture the first match of the league was played between J&K Bank Academy and Kupwara FA which resulted in J&K Bank Academy defeating Kupwara FA by two goals to nil. Yawar and Sheikh Salman scored one goal each for J&K Bank Academy.
The second match of the day was played between Sports Council Football Academy and Langate Handwara FA which ended with a score of 5:1 goals favouring SCFA. The goal scorers for SCFA were Waris, Ubaid and Farhan whereas the solitary goal for Langate was scored by Faizan. Ubaid Bhat of SCFA was declared Player of the Match and was awarded with memento and cash prize for his brilliant performance.
Proprietor, New JK Roadways, Maqbool Ahmad was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He was accompanied by several other dignitaries who witnessed and enjoyed both the matches of the day.
Chairman NIFF Bashir A Malik, Advisor NIFF Ab Hamid Banday, Former National Footballer Nazir Andrabi, International Coach Sajid Dar, AFC Pro License Coach Hilal Rasool, International Footballer Aslam Parvez, AFC A License Coach Manzoor Ahmad, AFC B license Coach Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, and other prominent members of NIFF were also present.
Maqbool on seeing the enthusiasm among the young and budding players announced an encouraging cash prize of Rs1500/- as Player of the Match in every match of the League.
The League is being organized by NIFF J&K in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and is being sponsored by New J&K Roadways.
