Medical services for 'all' by Waqf Board will serve humanity: Raman Suri

Jammu, April 22: BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) J&K executive member Raman Suri, while hailing the decision of Waqf Board to start a Cancer Hospital for people of all the communities, Friday said that this decision is not only exemplary but will also go a long way in serving the humanity. 
In a statement, hesaid that people of Jammu and Kashmir suffer a lot on account of this disease and travel to far off places for treatment but this hospital will help them get treated here in Union Territory only. 
Raman Suri appreciated the decision of the Chairperson J&K Waqf Board, Dr.DarakhshanAndrabi, of establishing cancer hospital for all the people and said that while the UT government is providing better health care facilities yet many of them travel to Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi and Chennai to seek treatment for cancer. Now that the Waqf Board will start providing this facility in the UT for all poor as well, they will save money and also botheration that they undergo along with the patients. 
The BJP leader said, Dr.DarakhshanAndrabi's statement that people of all communities including Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and representatives of others communities are helping Waqf Board protect its land, reflects that masses in general are helping the organisation to protect its properties, so that the same can be best utilised for serving the humanity. 
He said, this is for the first time that Waqf Board functioning is being streamlined, records are being computerised, religious places are being maintained to the core, revenue collection is being set right and most importantly, hospitals will be developed for all under the able guidance of Dr.Andrabi. 
Raman Suri also added that the retrieved properties, as said by Dr.Andrabi, will also be put to right use, which will help the organisation grow and, ultimately help the society.
