Manoj Kumar Dwivedi inaugurates 5 daysMDP for Medical Officers

Jammu, July 16:Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, IAS Principal Secretary to GovtHealth and Medical Education Department, J&K Inaugurated 5 days Management Development Programme(MDP) for Medical Officers of Jammu division organized by Directorate of Health Services Jammu in collaboration with Academy of Hospital Administration Jammu Chapter on Saturday. 
Dr. Saleem-ur- Rehman, Executive Director, AHA (Jammu Chapter) & Director Health Services Jammu & DG Family Welfare J&K; Dr. Yashpal Sharma President AHA, India & Director Coordination New Medical Colleges, J&K; Dr Sashi Sudhan Sharma Principal & Dean GMC & AH’s Jammu; Dr Mohan Singh Director AYUSH JK UT were among the main dignatories present along with other senior officers of Health & Medical Education Department along with 27 participating medical officers working on administrative posts.
 
On the occassion a book, designed by Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) was released which is a self learning material of about 400 pages and more than 23 different topics especially designed for this programme for the participants to enhance their knowledge further in healthcare management. The book has been forwarded by Sh. Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, IAS Principal Secretary to Govt. Health and Medical Education Department, J&K and Dr. Yashpal Sharma and Dr. Saleem-ur- Rehman. The book was be given to all the Medical Officers who are participants for this training.
 
Sh. Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, IAS in his inaugural address congratulated Dr Saleem & Dr Yashpal Sharma for starting the training programme for medical officers which was previously being held at IMPA. He appreciated the programme schedule which included all the topics required for these medical officers. "We need a strong cadre of healthcare administrators for which we need to invest more in programmes on skill development, training and capacity building. As India emerges from being a developing nation to a developed one, it is important that our health sector evolves simultaneously". He also gave list of management tools to the gathering about how to manage the organisation as well as personnal self.
 
Dr. Yashpal Sharma in his address gave details about Academy of Hospital Administration and its various chapters. He also talked about various trainings being held for health acre professionals in the country.
 
Dr. Saleem-ur- Rehman gave a detailed presentation on developments in health services in jammu division and how the referral from perifery has drastically reduced to over 70 % to medical college jammu. Development of various speciality and super speciality services in various districs
 
Academy of Academy Hospital Administration (AHA) India has been conducting Management Development Programs (MDPs) for health care professionals since its inception in 1987. Dr Yashpal Sharma Director Coordination New GMC’S of JK is National president of AHA India.
AHA Jammu chapter which includes qualified Hospital Administrators and many in service public health specialists/officers. The committee had decided to give benefits to in service nurses, paramedics, doctors, by providing them training In Jammu on various key aspects.
5 days Management Development Programme(MDP) for Medical Officers of Jammu division has been due to sincere efforts of Dr Saleem Ur Rehman. Topics included in these 5 days are from various scores of administration required in a health care institutions like Managerial skills, Functions and Principles of Management, Role/Responsibilities and challenges faced by a Hospital  Administrators, Communication in Healthcare Management, Human Resources and conflict Management & Public Relation in Hospitals and Media Management, DVDMS System, Auditing in Health Institutions, GeM Procurement, OT Services in the hospitals (Virtual mode), ICU Management & patients Health Care (Virtual mode), Supportive Services in Hospitals (Bio-Medical waste management, , Blood Banking, Labs), Supportive Services in Hospitals (House Keeping, Security, Laundry, Dietary, CSSD), E-Office, E- Tendering, Overview of General Financial Rules 2017, Procurement Rules of GFR 2017.
