Khyber Milk Premier Football League 2021: 3 matches end in a draw

Srinagar, Oct 16: In an ongoing Khyber Milk Premier Football League 2021, three matches were played on Saturday.
In the first match Real Kashmir (R) and Downtown Hero’s FC ended in draw while in second Kashmir Maharaja FC and J&K Bank Academy played for a draw and third match between JKSPDC XI and Novelty Football Club also played for draw here at Synthetic Turf TRC.
First match of the day was played between Real Kashmir (R) and Downtown Hero’s FC. Both teams started with an aggressive note trying to beat the defence lines but could not find the net to score.
The defenders were always under pressure but they ensured that no damage was done. The goalkeepers made some brilliant saves and at the end of the first half the score was 0:0.
In the second half, it seemed both the teams were content to play a draw as they were more interested in saving the goals rather than scoring.
In the last minutes of the match, though both the teams made some moves, they failed at the finish line. When the referee blew the final whistle, the score line read 0:0. Neeraj of Real Kashmir FC was declared Man of the Match.
The second match was played between Kashmir Maharaja FC and J&K Bank Academy. As the play started the forward lines of both the teams failed to breach the defence lines of each other in the first half.
In the Second half J&K bank Academy made some brilliant moves and Huzaif Shafi made no mistake thus scored a goal.
Trailing by a goal, the Kashmir Maharaja FC players launched several counter attacks on the opposite goalpost, but the defenders of the Bank Academy kept them at bay.
And when it looked that no further goals would be scored, in the 75th minute Referee awarded a penalty against Bank Academy, and Maharaja Player Kaiser made no mistake to convert it into a goal.
In the last 10 minutes of the match, the aggression of players from both the teams was visible as they tried desperately to score.
However, as the referee blew the final whistle, the score was 1:1. Thus the second match also ended in a draw. Owais Ayoub of Bank Academy was declared man of the match.The third match was played between J&K SPDC XI and Novelty Football Club.
As the match started, forwards of both the teams started attacking each other’s goalposts to seize an early lead.
However, the defence lines of both the teams did not allow the forwards to penetrate.
The forwards of the two teams looked off colour as they missed several scoring opportunities. The goalkeepers of both the teams made some excellent saves and thus the first half ended with no goal scored from either side.
In the second half both the teams battled for a goal but the defenders of both the teams, especially their goalkeepers did not give any chances to the opposite team to score.
When the referee blew the final whistle, the score was 0:0.
Thus this match also ended in a draw and Alok Chohan of Novelty FC was declared “Man of the Match”.
